The 3rd floor of ALB houses the Archives Collection, which includes UA&P Publications, Theses of UA&P students, and rare books. Handling of such resources need extra precaution as these materials are of enduring value.
Browsing Collections in PRIMO
- Go to the Library website, then click on the PRIMO Catalog Search bar
- Click “Advanced Search”
- Select Library/location in the drop-down menu
- Type Archives or AR
- Narrow down search results by selecting Material Type, Language, and/or Publication Date
- Click Search or hit Enter

AR Schedule – Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Saturday (8:30 AM to 4:00PM)
At the start of every semester and summer, names of all bonafide students and regular employees will be synchronized in the Alma fulfillment of the library service platform based on the student information system (SIS) synchronization of the ICT through the empowered registration system which is essential for the issuance of the Primo library account of the patrons.
- A valid UA&P ID must be worn at all times by all internal researchers upon entering the DEEL – Archives.
- All personal belongings of the researchers will be deposited in the info desk upon entry and claimed when exiting the Archives.
- All archival materials are exclusive for room use only at the DEEL Archives Section.
- The UA&P Community, including alumni upon presentation of valid UA&P alumni ID may access the archival materials free of charge.
- Internal researchers must present a valid UA&P ID at the Info Desk.
- Researchers are required to accomplish the Archives Borrower’s slip and present the duly accomplished slip to the Archives in-charge.
- The Librarian/staff in charge of the Archives collects the requested archival materials from the controlled storage area.
- The user’s ID will be deposited at the Info Desk until the borrowed archival materials are returned.
- Researchers are encouraged to bring their own paper and pencil.
- All UA&P faculty and staff are allowed to borrow archival materials.
- The duration and purpose of in-house loan should be specified in the Transmittal Form.
- The maximum allowable in-house loan period is one (1) regular semester for staff and faculty members.
- Food and drinks are strictly not allowed in the Archives premises.
- All borrowed materials must be returned in proper condition and order.
- Any form of damage done upon the archival materials will be penalized (see Charges for Lost and Damaged Archival Materials).
- Researchers are encouraged to follow proper care and handling of archival materials.
- The researcher shall be charged with a fee equivalent to the cost of mending for any form of damage incurred while the archival material is in use.
- Researchers who find damages in the materials they intend to borrow must report it at once to the Archivist in-charge, otherwise they will be accountable for the damage.
- Charges for lost archival materials shall be based on assessed value or the material’s market value, if applicable.
- Failure to settle accountability for lost and damaged archival materials entail forfeiture of researcher’s access privileges to the University Archives.
- Any form of reproduction of all archival materials shall be subject to the approval of the copyright owner, referred to herein as the author who created the work.
- Reproduction or communication of the archival materials in print or electronic form must require the consent of the copyright owner.
- The archival materials may not be used for commercial purposes without the permission of the copyright owner.
- The researcher shall have the sole responsibility to obtain the proper copyright permissions from the author.
- A valid ID and a referral letter from the Chief Librarian or immediate supervisor must be presented by researchers from other institutions.
- Researchers such as Opus Dei members who are not employees of UA&P must secure an endorsement letter from the UA&P Management Committee before allowing access to the Archives.
- A researcher’s fee of PhP 100.00 is charged per person for every visit.
- Alumni without a valid UA&P alumni ID is charged P50.00 per visit.
