Library Discussion Rooms
Library Mezzanine Discussion Rooms
The LIB mezzanine discussion room # 1 can accommodate a maximum of three (3) persons at one time, while the LIB mezzanine discussion room # 2 can accommodate a maximum of eight (8) persons. Both discussion rooms are equipped with an LED TV monitor, an air conditioning unit, tables and chairs, and acoustic walls.

- Library users who wish to use the discussion rooms must present their UA&P ID for verification purposes. SLG Students are advised to use the LAG Collab Room instead.
- Reservation of the room is restricted to 1.5 hours on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Food is not allowed. However, drinks in spill-proof containers and tumblers with secure lids or sealable bottles are allowed.

Law and Governance (LAG) Collaborative Room
The Law and Governance Collaborative Room can accommodate three (3) persons at one time. The collaborative room is equipped with an air conditioning unit, table and chairs and acoustic walls.

- Non-SLG UA&P students are allowed to use the LAG Collab room but the School of Law students will be prioritized. Patrons must present their UA&P ID for verification purposes.
- Reservation of the room is restricted to 1.5 hours on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Food is not allowed. However, drinks in spill-proof containers and tumblers with secure lids or sealable bottles are allowed.

Library AV Viewing Room
The AV viewing room can accommodate 4 people and can be booked online for viewing audiovisual LIB resources and audio-recording for class and research use.

- Opening Hours
- Monday to Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm and Saturday 8:30am - 4:00pm during the regular semester.
- Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am - 12:00pm during semester and holiday breaks.
- The AV Viewing Room can be booked online for viewing LIB audio-visual resources and audio recordings for teaching and research purposes with a minimum of three users.Food and drink are not allowed in the room to prevent spillage onto AV equipment and resources.
- Please contact the LIB staff on duty for assistance with AV equipment and resources.
- The Online Reservation System is open six (6) days a week.Patrons may begin making online reservations each Friday.
- The AV Viewing Room can be reserved for a maximum of 3 hours using the AV Room Reservation button below, and can be extended as needed.
- Those interested must fill in all the required details on the reservation form.
- Enrolled students reserving the AV Viewing Room must present a letter of permission to view a film for a specific class, as approved by the professor.
Library Multimedia Hub
The Multimedia (MM) Hub is bookable for small group training sessions, FGDs, and similar activities with a minimum of ten participants. Since this facility is primarily built to cater to special small functions, conduct of classes is not allowed. For classroom requirements please coordinate directly with the Registrar’s Office. The nook corner on the MM Hub can be used for story telling sessions or other related activities.

PWD Study Room
The University Library recognizes the need to provide access and dedicated space for persons with disabilities to library facilities and resources. The PWD study room is exclusively for the use of bona fide students, teachers, and employees with impairments associated with disabilities that may be:
- physical, such as visual, speech, or hearing impairment, or any physical disability that is caused by bodily injury or illness that is not limited to physical reliance on remedial devices such as wheelchair, or
- mental disorder or developmental disability

- The PWD study room can only accommodate three (3) Library Users at a time.
- External researchers with disabilities may use the PWD room but UA&P students and faculty will be prioritized.
- The reservation of the room is restricted to one and a half hours (1 ½) on a first-come, first-served basis and can be extended for another one and a half hour (1 ½) if no one else is signed-up to use them.
- A valid UA&P I.D & PWD valid I.D must be presented before registering or making any reservations.
- Food is not allowed. However, drinks in spill-proof containers and tumblers with secure lids or sealable bottles are allowed.
- Users may ask for assistance at the Infodesk thru virtual reference chat or may approach the library staff at the Infodesk.

Policies regarding the use of the Discussion Rooms
- The discussion room booking period is open six (6) days a week.
- Students and employees may file for an online discussion room reservation for one and a half (1.5) hours. The available time slots can be viewed in the booking form (see blue button below).
- Proper decorum is expected from the users.
- Disruptive behavior and bringing in of food and drinks are strictly prohibited.
- A LIB staff will inspect the room before and after use to ensure that the furniture and equipment are in good working condition.
- Failure to arrive within the first fifteen (15) minutes of the scheduled time shall render the reservation null and void.
- The discussion rooms will close 15 minutes before the LIB officially ends its business hours by 7:30 p.m.
- The University Student Government whose office is located in the University Student Commons mezzanine may randomly monitor the use of the discussion rooms and has the right to report any misconduct of users including improper use of the discussion room to the University Library.
- Other usage for the discussion rooms can be arranged with the UA&P LIB Info desk staff.

Policies regarding the use of Study Carrels
- Allowed users. Only one (1) user may occupy each carrel at a time. Due to its limited number (28 units), only the following are allowed to reserve and use the study carrels:
- non-SLG students (i.e., those not taking AB Political Economy, Masters in Politicial Exconomy, Juris Doctor, or LEX Honors)
- faculty and administrative personnel who are currently enrolled in a thesis course
- Duration of use. Reservations can be made for a maximum of four hours (4) per day for one week (Monday to Saturday). This can be extended for another four hours (4) if no one else has signed-up for their use.
- Unreserved study carrels can be used by any valid user on a first-come, first-served basis. Their availability can be verified and booked online one day in advance of your preferred date of visit.
- The drawer key of the carrel can be secured at the Info Desk upon submission of a duly accomplished online reservation form and presentation of a valid UA&P (ID) card. The key must be surrendered at the Info Desk upon leaving the Library premises.
- Personal belongings. The Library strongly discourages leaving personal belongings (e.g. bags, laptops, handheld devices) in the carrels and drawers unattended. The Library is not responsible for any lost items.
- Drawer use. Library materials that are not checked-out should not be kept in the carrel drawers.
- Food is not allowed. However, drinks in spill-proof containers or tumblers with secure lids or sealable bottles are allowed.

Requirements for Borrowing
- A valid UA&P ID must be presented to borrow a unit
- The student must register at the Info Desk of the Library
- The student must duly fill out the multimedia borrower's slip
Terms of Loans
- The patron surrenders his UA&P ID at the Info Desk upon registration
- For iMac units, the library staff hands over the wireless keyboard and mouse to the patron at the Info Desk (note: The iMac units are to be used for editing of multimedia files (audio, video, graphics, publications, etc.) only. Email and other social media services are strictly prohibited)
- Only one (1) student/staff per computer is allowed at a given time
- Proper decorum is expected from the users/students (no disruptive behavior and bringing in of food and drinks)

- The use of the Internet is strictly for research and instructional purposes only.
- Access to the University's network resources including the Internet is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy of ICT.
- The use a computer unit is allowed for one individual at a time.
- Food and drinks including water are not allowed inside the public access computing facilities.
- Do not use the local disks as permanent storage. All data files in the computer are deleted on Saturdays of each week.

Terms of Loans
- Reservation of a camera unit must be done three (3) days before the intended date of use.
- Students/staff may reserve the camera or a maximum of (4) four hours per day, or may extend whole day or multiday borrowing, provided there is no other reservation for the unit during the day and they will return the unit one hour before the library closes.
- The reservation may be extended for one hour at a time after the four-hour limit as long as there is no one else scheduled to use the unit.
- Cancellation of reservation must be done at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of use.
- Reservation will be forfeited, if after 15 minutes the student/staff has not shown up.
- The audio and video files in the Secure Digital (SD) card will be deleted upon return of the camera.
- No student/staff may use another patron’s ID to check out the camera
- Borrowers are responsible for the security and prompt return of the camera.
- The camera should be returned 30 minutes before the Library closes at 7:00P.M.
- Borrowers who are unable to return the camera within the day will result in the restriction of borrowing privileges for one semester.
- In case the camera is damaged or lost by the borrower, the terms and conditions stated on the Accountability Agreement will be applied.
