Readers
The UA&P Library is open to bonafide students, faculty, regular employees, alumni, persons covered by UA&P’s inter-library loan and consortium agreement, Business Economic Association (BEA) members, researchers from other schools and agencies, and special patrons.
Service Hours
The Library onsite business hours are as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Remote/off-site:
- The Library Virtual Assistant (VirA) is available for realtime assistance during office hours from Monday to Saturday. Outside office hours, you can just post or leave your messages or queries. We will respond to them the following workday.

Primo is a cloud based software as a Service (SaaS) discovery platform that provides simple, one-stop searching for books and e-books, videos, articles, digital media, and more. Primo also helps users manage their research. Users must sign-in to:
- Renew books and non-books
- Create favorites lists
- View and export citations
- View full search results (Some databases only show results when users are signed in)
- Recommend library materials using the Primo Purchase Requisition Form (PRF)
Library patrons are encouraged to return library materials using the 24/7 Library Book Return located in Study Hall A, Luis Lorenzo. Books returned in the chute is recorded in real-time in the Alma fulfillment account of the patron.
The RFID self-loan equips the patrons to borrow printed resources, return, renew items, view account status upon login using the patron’s RFID (student or employee identification).

- Students from other schools must present a referral letter from the Chief Librarian of their institution.
- Outside professionals must present a referral letter duly signed by the immediate supervisor.
- The referral letter must contain the person’s topic of research.
- As a rule, the Public Access Computing (PAC)/Multimedia Room’s resources and facilities, internet and electronic database subscriptions are not accessible to outside researchers.
- Library materials are exclusive for room use only.
- Outside researcher’s fee is P101.52 per visit.

Notices
- First-reminder notices are sent to all employees three days before the due dates.
- Second-reminder notices include overdue fines.
- After three days with no response, a third notice will be sent requesting permission for salary deduction.
- Recall notices are sent to all employees one week before the end of classes every semester and summer.
Accountabilities
- Electronic letter notification for overdue fines and fees are auto-generated to remind students of their outstanding library accountabilities periodically.
- Consolidated overdue fines and fees of the students are posted on the Bulletin Boards every 1st and 3rd weeks of the month.
- For an overdue library material, the following fines are charged:
- Php 10.15 per day for books in the general collection and other library materials that circulate weekly.
- Php 5.08 an hour for books on reserve.
- Php 406.09 processing fee for lost or damaged book.
- No delinquent library user is allowed to borrow unless all library accounts are settled.
- Every semester and mid-year term, all students with accountabilities are encoded in the Library Accountability Systems (LAS) one week before enrollment time.
- If the amount of overdue fines goes beyond the current price of the book only 50% will be charged.
- Employees must settle their accountabilities either in cash or by salary deduction.
Loss/Damages
- A lost or damaged library book must be replaced with another copy with the same author, title and edition or must be paid for at the replacement cost, plus a processing fee of Php 406.09. A newer edition or title of the same discipline is accepted.
- A lost or damaged multimedia material must be replaced with another copy with the same format and title, plus a processing fee of Php 406.09. A lost/damaged duplicate copy of multimedia materials is charged Php 507.61 inclusive of processing fee of Php 406.09.
- Book donations cannot offset for lost or damaged materials.
- Readers who find a major damage in the materials they intend to borrow must report it at once to the librarian; otherwise, they will be held responsible for the damage. Reimbursements for returned lost and paid materials are refunded within the school year, excluding the processing fee.
AV Material
For Faculty & Staff:
- All A-V materials are strictly for instructional use only.
- Regular employees (administrative) may borrow a documentary video recording for three days with one time renewal.
- Full time faculty members who need specific video recording in the preparation and delivery of classes may borrow these for one semester without renewal.
- A CD-ROM as accompanying material of a book can be borrowed on the same terms as the book.
For Students:
- All A-V materials are strictly for instructional use.
- Viewing of video recording in the library by students is allowed upon presentation of a request letter, which states its specific educational use and is noted by the professor.
- Upon presentation of a request letter from a faculty member, students may view the chosen title.
