uLAIR and the Digital Deposit Guide

What is uLAIR?

uLAIR stands for University Library Academic Institutional Repository. It serves as the institutional repository of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) where intellectual research works, digital publications, and other contents are archived, preserved, and disseminated.

What is a Digital Deposit?

A Digital Deposit is a platform where registered library users such as students, faculty members, and other university members can submit or upload a digital file to be stored in the digital collection using the Deposit Module of Alma. The uploaded contents will be stored in the uLAIR and will be searchable in the Primo Discovery Service Platform.

You may watch the Video Guide on how to make digital deposits on uLAIR.

Which content can be submitted in the uLAIR?

Research output of students and university faculty and staff such as thesis, undergraduate research, capstone, and dissertations can be digitally deposited in the uLAIR (patron-mediated deposits).

The submitted digital content will include metadata and one or more files, which, upon submission and approval, are added to Alma's digital inventory as a metadata record, representation, and file.

Digital Deposit Submission Overview

Intellectual research work digitally deposited by faculty members, academic non-teaching employees, and other university members are pre-approved and are automatically accessible in the uLAIR.

In the case of works submitted by undergraduate and graduate students, the final and duly approved soft copy of thesis, undergraduate research project, capstone, and dissertation will only be discoverable in the uLAIR after the submission has been thoroughly reviewed for completeness and approved by the University Library.

After the University Library staff member has reviewed your digital content deposit, you will receive a Digital Deposit Status Update via your UA&P email inbox, indicating whether the deposit ihas been successfully Submitted, Approved, Returned, or Declined.
